Yay. Adobe After Effects is a great tool for editing colors, but making the lighting look genuine is a difficult task. pic related, I did this in 5 minutes. It's not great. In fact, it's probably worse. But you get the idea.

I think they blanket term is given to Uni when describing it as a haven of haters. I don't believe that. Uni has fans that love Boxxy as much as any CC user. They just show it differently. They have differing opinions I believe shouldn't just be written off as hate. If you want to talk about empathy, why can't CC extend some to some of Uni's fanbase? See their point of view as well? And a major problem they have with Catie and CC, you're not allowed to have a POV if it in any way criticises Catie.

They own the team, they control it. So maybe you don't like what they've done to it. You don't agree with the way they've managed the team. Perhaps they've lied to fans about season ticketing or something. You can dislike them but still be a fan of the team. And there's always gonna be people like that. People who don't care about the ownership, as long as the team continues to play, others who hold the owners responsible for how the teams does. Other blame the owners if the team plays poorly, because they ultimately are in charge. There are different fans and opinions in every fanbase, and I guess we're destined to disagree about things. I think there are several venues that are working okay. She supplied a lot of information on Formspring, and while [m/ got kind of snarky when she was away, it never had the same level of problems that Unichan did.

The problem isn't so much finding a venue or agreeing on mechanics for who asks what, as setting appropriate fan expectations for the whole exercise. In my opinion there's just no point in having an extended interrogation in which fans press her for a new round of promises that will be just as difficult for her to deliver, and appointment of new staff who will proceed to get into the same conflicts of interest that the old staff did.

Sorry if that's kind of a negative answer, but I see some of these conflicts as being kind of unavoidable. I think the Sphere sets itself up for disappointment, imagining some system in which no one has private conversations with Catie, no mod ever abuses their authority, everything is transparent. Intrepid may have alienated a bunch of people, but I guarantee that if either of the other groups that approached me back in November 2010 had been in charge instead, we'd be right where we are now.

I have no role whatever in CC. Never have. I posted an explanation of this in another thread, but of course not everyone would have read it. Back in November, within minutes of Catie showing up on eBay, I was contacted by several people who were organizing to create an "official" website for her. It was clear that bitter divisions already existed -- neither of the new groups wanted to involve Intrepid, or Boxxychan.

It didn't take a genius to see that no matter which group got the job, there would be jealousy and resentment. I stayed out of it, and didn't endorse or support any group. When Intrepid became "official" I sent him a congratulatory note. That was mainly because he and I had disagreed in the past (he banned me at one point). I wanted to acknowledge that he had done a better job of guessing Catie's wishes than I had. He was having a really good day, and it seemed like the decent thing to do was to acknowledge it. Since then I've exchanged emails with Intrepid maybe once or twice a year, but he doesn't ask me for advice and apart from sharing a few statistics I don't offer any.

LOL, that she's a normal person and a normal YouTube performer. Look, first of all, she quoted and answered a number of critical questions in her Formspring. It started off about how Unichan is acting like sociopaths and that they are demanding Catie to comply to their demands etc.. according to Math Guy. In addition Ugglybabee added his evidence of rape stories and shooped boogaloogadoos. Then Math Guy conceded that he's not attacking anonymous, yet at the same is attacking the anonymous culture nature on Uni, one without moderation. Then attacked Unichan further by pointing out some of their sociopathic behaviors such as doxing and posting rape fantasies. Then when it was pointed out that it was more complicated than just blaming unichan for this behavior and that CC members and admin also had a part of this, then all of sudden it became irrelevant to the discussion and shifted to some point about moderation and that Uni is making demands of Catie (which if you visited Uni, was the voice of one Anon making thread after thread expecting Catie to respond, which was a ridiculous venture in itself). The point has been made clear not only in evidence that Uni is definitely not just a bunch of sociopaths, but that some do have valid concerns and that their behavior can't just be summed up as sociopathic when CC and everyone is equally involved if not more involved. The fans have responded in their disappointment by all this by either leaving the sphere completely or by moving to a place that better fits their point of view ie Unichan.

Do you get it now? Or what points do you want to address. As far as I'm concerned this discussion is over, because its stirring up feelings that I had already dropped concerning the moderation of CC.

I don't really disagree here, but I want to stress something. Those aren't only possible solutions. We could have fairly lively, but moderated chan. Uni probably stays what it is, I don't see its administration willing to change its policies there. If there would be a alive chan where Catie visits, only option seems to be to try to fix flaws this chan possibly has. And let Uni be what it wants to be.

I prersonally don't hate Uni, it's just a place, but in my opinion some of its anonymous aren't behaving so well or responsible they should be. This chan isn't perfect either, that's not what I'm saying.

I kinda hoped sphere could settle its disagreements even once through discussion. Reading these comments, and there really seem to be people on both sides that are willing to try that. No, see, that's the funny part. The survey was already anonymous either way. It didn't require the namefriend's name, only whether they HAD a name. Consequently the namefriends and Anons were on an equal footing in terms of being able to speak freely.

And in terms of computing average scores, it didn't matter even slightly if people could vote twice. Suppose that everyone voted twice. That would mean there were half as many Anons voting, and half as many namefriends, but the namefriends still took a more positive view of everyone in the Sphere than the Anons did.

If you just sit and think about it, you'll see that it was a very significant result. For the namefriends, the glass is half-full. For the Anons, it's half-empty.

The Sphere is a unique social experiment, putting chan and forum side by side, having people mingle back and forth freely and choose which they prefer. It tells us all kinds of neat stuff.

I've observed over the years that Anons not only post more hostile stuff, negative toward others; they also post more about being depressed and self-despising, forever alone. On the forums people try to be more positive, they cheer each other on and talk themselves up. Now, the behavior of the people on the forums might be a phony front, and the Anons might be more genuine in expressing how they feel. I'm not going to debate which side is more TRUTHFUL about how they feel. But there are systematic differences, and that survey is a very nice controlled test of them.

What was the average difference between answers, I remember it was smallish? It would be significant, if difference was over .5 of rating? There was also little sabotage going on, some tried to push the rating of their favorites up or their not favorites down.
