I was reading a bunch of comments in youtube "be yourself" "you're trying too hard". I don't know that some of these people don't have insights or suggestions or whatever, or that you couldn't possibly be making better videos.

But here's the thing: you're Boxxy. You made this thing. you own this thing. You're never going to do everything perfectly, and you're never going to please everyone. But you are kicking ass all the way up and down Main Street. Life is "win some,lose some". That's the way it is for everybody, even the very gifted. Some ass clown is always trying to pretend that you haven't been incredibly successful. Don't be fooled.

"What people want" is to have thousands of questions answered, and to see a whole lot of videos that recapture the feeling of the original boxxy videos while still being fresh and new. In other words "what people want" is the fucking world.

I admire Catie's refusal to pander. The correct number of videos is the amount she wants to produce, the amount that is fun to her. Why would anybody want to watch videos of Catie not having fun?

People want her to be herself, but then they inist that she's really Boxxy. What if she really is the quiet girl from those drama club videos? This is the only real candid evidence from what was once her everyday life, and people just want to disregard it. They interpret her demeanor as "sad' and therefore pathological, and therefore not really Catie. Maybe she's sad here, maybe not, she just lost in thought, listening to music.

There's just no end to the demands people make on her, Whatever people want fro her, what she owes them is nothing.
